When I eventually did wake up this morning, since I have been staying at mums place for the past few days, after mum and I quickly got dressed and changed we took a few of my things back to my place so when I headed back to my place again later, I wouldn't have to carry all my things with me that I took on holidays.
Afterwards we went shopping for a little bit, which is especially really bad for me just a couple of days before pay day. And it's especially bad for me because all love all things owls. Which has been a big craze of late, which means very very bad for me. I hate to be all hipster liked, but I did love owls before they started to pop up everywhere! I loved them since I was hooked on the TV show "Twin Peaks". There's a whole story behind it to, which if you don't know I'll be more than happy to share with you :)
Anyways, as you can see from the picture below I made it out with three things of owls. Which isn't too bad, considering that only cost me in total 5 dollars. But still.. it could have been a lot worse!
When I got back to my mums place, they had set up the day before a karaoke machine. And if you haven't heard me singing, thank your lucky star! There were many things I personally didn't like about this karaoke machine:
1. Only 1 Muse song!
2. No Maroon 5 songs!
3. Very very bad music which really distracted me.
4. I still sound as bad as I always have.
If any of my friends are reading this, and are even contemplating to get me really drunk to have a go at Sing Star, save yourself your own hearing... Please! :-p
But I did try and have a go at these two songs:
I love a rainy night - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebt0BR5wHYs
Build me up buttercup - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jLrdhk_rxxU
It was also my Auntie Josie's birthday as well. A group of the family were getting together at the Seven Hills/Toongabbie RSL to get together for dinner. It's our usual hang out/get together when we are either having a catchup or celebrating someone's birthday. All my Aunties (in Australia) were there... and the rest of my aunties as always are never far from everyone's mind :) Unfortunately I heard that one of my cousins couldn't make it, as she had broken her ankle earlier today :( Hope she gets better very soon, especially since it happened on her last day of her holidays.
After having dinner with everyone, decided to put a couple of dollars in the machines and even thought I tempt fate a little and play the Lost numbers within Keno. Only won a dollar. Oh well. Could've won nothing at all!
For a Sunday, and the first Sunday of the year, it was pretty full on. It seems like the next few weeks are going to be pretty hectic as well for both home and work. Bring it on! :)
