11th of January 2013

Hooray!! Friday! You've finally arrived! I sometimes swear that even though we've labelled the days of the week, there is always something so awesome about Friday. It even feels so different when you wake up in the morning as well. This Friday though didn't start off that great, but no matter what Friday was throwing at me this morning I carried on as if I had won the lotto.

I started off with a bad case of very bad hair day, as I noticed that I had left my comb at my mother's place. To top it off as well I had also missed my usual bus. When I went to catch the next bus, instead of stopping for me the driver decided that it would whizz pass as if I didn't exist. Thankfully the one after that must've been in a good mood as he didn't ignore me.

The work day was a typical day. What struck me even more than any other work day, is that little good surprises were along the way. I'm sure everyone has little plans or at least ideas how their day would pan out, but with today all I really had planned to do was go to work and when I finished go home.

One of the many surprised that made an appearance today happened as my lunch time break come close, I bumped into my friend Diana. After a brief chat we both decided that it had been a while since we got together and had lunch and it was about time that we did. We decided to go to Nando's for lunch, as Nando's within the city has a background story for not only us but for other close friends within work. Plus it's also a great place to chat and catch up with what has been happening in each others lives.

Before we both knew it, our lunch break was close to being over and we headed back to work. One thing I love about having a late lunch break, is that when I go back to work there really is only over a couple more hours before it's home time. And with the city expected to reach about 41 degrees today, I was more than happy when it was finally over. Another day completed with so much work done, making me feel as though I had again accomplished a lot for the day.

I honestly cannot wait until Monday though, my great friend Gloria who has been away for about 6 weeks now will be returning then. As much as I've missed having her having around, I definitely will not miss passing back her workload :-p But in all truth, so very looking forward to hear how her holiday went. Especially her last holiday before she gets married in a few months!

And the end of the work day headed back to my mothers place, where I will be staying the night. I also got an email from a good friend of mine who I write reviews for, and it seems as though I may go to another screening at the end of the month. Looks like this year is starting to fill up slowly.

I've also been in contact with my cousin in Malta who is arriving in early February with her father (my uncle) as we're both thinking of going for a little trip while she's here. So cannot wait till it's finally all booked. But more information on that to come in the next week or so. For now, it's late and some of us need to get up for work in the morning :(

One last thing before I sign off. Wasn't really going to mention this... but what the hell! While originally starting to write this blog for today, I was somewhat under duress to make tea and coffee for the family. And I did... after many many constant harassed attempts to force me to make it :-p So Frank. If you're reading this, don't forget to tell people what an awesome cup of coffee I make! Ha! :-p
