Did anyone else notice that when they woke up this morning it was a little dark than usual? I had set the alarm clock for just a little past 5 and when I awoken it was dark (for daylight savings time) and in my sleepy haze I honestly thought that I had woken up an hour early. So I set my alarm clock for another hour, and went back to bed. It wasn't until an hour later while I was getting ready, my mother saw me and said "Aren't you normally about to catch the bus at this time?" that I had a 'Doh' moment and realised I was in fact an hour later than usually. Luckily I called for a taxi to the station and that it arrived pretty quickly. I managed to make the train just after the usual train I catch. And the bonus thing? Train dude was on it *swoon*.
With the DVD review that I'm working on, it's actually for season two. So I thought I'd do a little bit of 'homework' and watch the first season, which I managed to do all of last week. I actually finished the finale episode within the train in the morning.
Dashed into work only a few minutes late and got started on my work pretty much right away. Nothing much to report, apart from there were a lot of people still recovering from the conference that was on the weekend. I can only recall only once in my life that I've ever had a hangover, and that was mostly due to the heat. Other times I've had a drink or two (or more) nothing. Though I had a tad feeling that may change with a BBQ/Jedi training session that I've been invited to next week.
I also got some exciting news throughout the day. I've been asked to do an interview with Spotlight Report. It's part of my new found training, which will be going on for a while. Found out today that it'll be in front of the camera! And I'm really camera shy, so this will be very interesting. Though I must admit that a little part of me was pretty excited as well. I mean...my cousins in Malta all have something to do with the theatre and movies!
I had lunch with Gloria, and we headed off to Darling Harbour where she got to see and take a photo of the big rubber duck for the first time! I personally don't think I get tired of seeing it. So I really hope that today isn't the last day that it is on show! It's really awesome to see! And I've never got a chance to see it in the evening :(
We also got to see people playing within the soccer field. Was surrounded by cops as well, which I found a little odd. You'd think that they got the players from prison the way that the police and security were surrounding it. There were no one else really who was paying attention to the game.
I ended up staying back a bit after work today as well, as there were a lot of email which I had to go through, which I wanted to have a response to by today. But there were other concerning matters which I was waiting a response on, and wanted to wait for a reply before I went home to make sure everything was ok.
When I got eventually got home, had a quick chat with the landlord as I'll be moving out by the end of the week. I already had a chat with them earlier within the month, but wanted to remind them again that I would be leaving. So it looks like a little of long weekend will be spent moving and cleaning up... Hooray! (She says sarcastically). :-p
Then spent the rest of the evening trying to organise a date and a time for my very first interview. Seems like it will be next week!
