14th of January 2013

Oh Monday! How you always seem to roll around so very quickly! The weekend went by in a blur, and I cannot believe it is already another working day. Maybe that was due to me working on Saturday. Either way, I actually didn't mind this Monday coming by so very fast. That was due to two reasons. Firstly and most importantly that my good work friend Gloria is back from her 6 week annual leave, and secondly that I had my first movie to watch through The Spotlight Report (http://www.spotlightreport.net/) this evening.

With Gloria back at work, both her and I spent about 15 minutes before work just catching up on little things about her holiday and getting her all set up for the working day. Especially showing her that her plant hadn't died while she was gone! Maybe I should have warned her that it's probably best from now on that her plant should stay away from my Dexter plant. Hey! You never know.

Today I had volunteered to help out another team. So instead of doing my usual work for the day, I got stuck into helping out the other team. I personally don't mind helping out the other departments, it mixes things about and doesn't have a mundane routine to it. Not that what I do or where I work could ever be mundane believe me. Just doing something a little different every now I find makes things interesting.

With the first lunch break for the year with Gloria, I just bought some fries with gravy. As hungry as I was I knew we both had a lot to catch up on, and I really didn't want my mouth full with a sandwich or something heavy. Since she is getting married in a few months it's just great to hear all the small things she has to plan. Oh who am I kidding! It's awesome she's back!

After work I caught up with my friend Sandra who joined me to see the movie Django. As I'm sure most of you already know, it's a Quentin Tarantino movie. Those who know me really well will know that I don't mind his movies but I don't love them either. That was all thrown out after watching this movie (http://www.spotlightreport.net/slider/the-wild-west-according-to-tarantino-django-unchained-movie-review). I was a little hesitant as it does have Leonardo DiCaprio on it, and I was never a fan of his (even though I know over the past many movies he has really grown as an actor). Just see this movie, it's awesome  is all I can really say!

So after a long day and swelled up feet, instead of ending the evening with an episode of Lost I think I may watch a new episode of QI instead. Sorry Jorge, just needed something different! Will watch the rest of season 5 later :)
