13th of January 2013

Wow! Did I have a long sleep! After having dinner the night before and decided to take a little break from watching my little Howard jump about his cage, I decided to have a bit of a lay down and wait until mum was finished watching the movie she was watching. The next thing I knew I woke up at 6:30am in the morning, haven't slept for about 20 hours! I honestly hope I'm not coming down with something. I don't feel as though I am. Maybe it's just another one of those things that my body needed especially after a very long day yesterday.

I honestly had nothing really planned for today. I only had one rule for myself. To make sure that today would be a lot better than yesterday. Spoil myself! That chance came just after 8:30am when my friend Jia messaged me to go see the movie Gangster Squad. Now how could I pass on a movie with Giovanni Ribisi in it? That's just has as much strength as someone telling me "Hey, there's a guy in a blue police box. Talking about looking for you and waving his sonic screw driver. He wants to you come here." I'd drop whatever I'm doing and rush on over.

So I quickly got dressed and headed over to Blacktown where we were meeting. It wasn't until I got to Blacktown that I looked into my bag and realised that I had left my purse at home! Erk. I thought never mind. World of technology, I can easily transfer money and it'll all be good.

We went to a cafe first and chat there for what must've been hours. We couldn't make it to the movies as she had just got contacts and they were irritating her. It didn't bother me, we it was just lovely to catch up with a friend and just vent and chat away.

Afterwards we went looking for a new phone for Jia, as her old one had had it. I can't speak for everyone, but since I use to work with Vodaphone the old salesperson in me comes out. Anyone who use to work with Vodafone would know the series of questions that we had to ask "Business or Personal? How much is your monthly spend.." etc etc. Jia had settled on the Samsung galaxy 3... and I swear I had not forced her to buy it at all! I may have made some suggestions about it though. What amazed me about the Vodafone shop that we were at is that instead of going through the contract with her, and I mean every single detail just like I personally was trained to do to make sure that the customer knew about the extra fees and charges. This guy went through NONE of that. The only thing he pointed out was her new number and what monthly plan contract she was on. Nothing about pro rata, nothing about insurance. I had to point that out to her before she signed. Seemed like the sales person was very annoyed though.

Afterwards we parted ways and I headed off to Mt Druitt as I was determind to see a movie! Headed to Hoyts and the queue was so long with only one person serving. That I didn't think I'd make the 4:30pm movie. But likely I got there just in time to watch the 3D version of The Hobbit (http://www.spotlightreport.net/slider/back-to-middle-earth-the-hobbit-an-unexpected-journey-movie-review). It was such a fantastic movie! Everything was soo fantastic. The acting, the scenes, the dialogue! In case you didn't know it's a 3 part movie as well. Which means just like LOTR, we have to wait another year for part two to come out. I'm sure just like this first part it'll be worth the wait. When I finally got to see it, I now completely understand where the following meme is from:

Very much looking forward to the next to movies when they come out. It's definitely going to feel like waiting for a season of Sherlock Holmes to come out. This time it's one 3 hour movie every year! Anyways, big day for me tomorrow and especially this week. May need all the sleep I can get. Maybe that is why I ended up sleeping for so long, because subconsciously my body knows for the next few weeks, going to get hardly any sleep!
