Hoppy Birdy to me... Hoppy Birdy to me...
Hoppy Birdy dear Me...eeeeeeeeee
Hoppy Birdy to Me!!!!!!!

Woke up a bit late this morning, as I had spent most of the night and early hours of the morning playing The Sims 3 University! I absolutely love it! You can not only go to University (which I'm slowly getting use to as I haven't figured a bunch of things out as of yet), but you can have room mates and charge them rent as well! So typical me I couldn't think of a name to use has my female character and ended up using Yeoman. Oh well, still think it's awesome.

So by the time I did get out of bed it was almost 10am, and had to get ready as we were leaving at 11:30am to head to Rashay's were mum, Frank and I were going to have lunch there as a Mother's Day/Birthday lunch. Mum decided to go there as I had never been there before and thought it would be a nice treat for all of us to go.

When I got out of bed, mum wished me a Happy Birthday and I wished her a happy mother's day then had my usual morning coffee, where we went outside to have it as Frank was still fast asleep. Even Howard my canary must've known something was going on as he decided to sing his little heart out so early in the morning. Not long after my coffee both mum and I started to get ready, and I was glad that the sun was shining brightly today. I had also noticed that there was a birthday card from Frank wishing me a happy birthday, with a lotto ticket inside. Now since I bought a couple yesterday and now with this ticket... if I don't win something it's gotta be rigged!

Once we arrived at Rashay's, the first thing that I noticed was that mum was right and that the place is very noisy. I personally think it is because of the open planned floor and the lack of carpet which doesn't absorb the noise too well. I ended up ordering the chicken fettuccine to have for lunch, and I was also eyeing some crepe to have for desert we as well. But decided to wait until I have dinner first before ordering the desert, as I normally feel very full after the meal.

When they brought the soft drinks around I was amazed to see at how large the glasses were. It looked to be the large size of a McDonald's drink. So it wasn't a surprise that when they brought out the food for me that it was in a very large plate, and was partially thankful that I hadn't ordered desert. I don't know how I managed to eat a large majority of the pasta. I only left a small handful in the plate before I decide to call it quits, but I had amazed myself at how much I did eat. We did end up ordering a banana split, but it was only one plate and we shared it between the three of us.

After polishing desert we headed off back home, where mum and Frank decided to sit down and watch a movie and I decided to continue playing the Sims University until later in the evening. At about 6:30pm I joined mum and Frank watching TV, where we watched Everybody Loves Raymond and also Seinfeld. Then at 7:30pm I got to watch the new Doctor Who episode which was pretty amazing. Next week is the seasons finale of season 7 where apparently they're going to mention the Doctors real name! So I cannot wait to see that episode.

After Doctor Who I went to cut my birthday cake! Hooray! And we all had a a coffee while we had a slice of cake. The I continued to play some more sims before going to bed. I managed to sneak in a few pages of reading of The Hunger Games, and it looks to be a great read. If only I could pry myself away from the Sims!

11th of May 2013

Got to sleep in this morning, but not as much as I really wanted to. As I had an hair dressers appointment at 11am and we had to make s detour to pick up one of mums friends as they were having a treat for themselves that day as well. Would have loved to splash out on a facial for mum and I, but by the time I had booked it, it was already full and I was very lucky to have the appointments which I did. So when I got out of bed just after 9am I quickly went to have my morning coffee before I started to get ready and head out.

The one of the many little reasons why I find it annoying about being female - or at least an older female -  is that you can no longer just go into the hair dressers any more for a quick cut. Well you could, but you reach a certain age (in my case it was from the age of 16) that you start to get a lot of white hairs on your head. Lucky (or unlucky I guess) for me is that it has always been at the top of my head. No escaping it or trying to hide it, unless I try for some weird Donald Trump comb over. So I have to colour my hair frequently, and it just sucks.

Anyways, despite the ranting the place where I go to does have a lovely bunch of stuff and they are not only pleasant people, but they also always remember the last conversation that you had with them. While I was getting my hair done they were explaining to me about a theatre restaurant in Liverpool called Fright Night. Basically it is very similar to Dracula's that on the Gold Coast, and after looking at the website I really really want to go! I remember having loads of fun at Dracula's, and I'm pretty sure this would be very similar.

Afterwards mum dropped off her friend back home, and we both headed to the shops. Since it's my birthday tomorrow I decided to spoil myself and buy a couple of nice things for my self. Now.. I always love having my birthday so close to Mother's Day, as when Mother's Day is approaching and there's all those lovely special, part of my goes into the whole selfish mode and makes me feel pretty awesome that they've decided to reduce their stuff cause of my birthday. Especially this year because my birthday is on Mother's day.

Now aside from that... there is one big major problem with having your birthday on or near Mother's Day (doubly so now that I'm older), as people think that what ever you're purchasing is for your mother. I went into a book store, and decided for the heck of it to treat myself to another book ( as it came in three books), and the sales assistant looked at me and said well it is Mother's Day tomorrow, you should spoil yourself. Hope the kids will spoil you. And I just looked at her blankly and said, it's my birthday tomorrow.. I have no kids. I felt like adding, yes I know it is weird for a woman over the age of 30 who lives in Mt Druitt not to have any kids, but I am an exception of the rule.

Afterwards I went into JB Hi Fi and went to looked for the first two seasons of Doctor Who, and I was surprise to notice that they didn't have any in stock. So when I went up to the guy and asked for it, he told me he didn't have any left, but Penrith and Blacktown did have a few in stock. I told him I kinda needed it for today, to which he responded I can always order it for you so you wont disappoint your mum on mother's day. Which I then also gave him a blank stare and said it was for my birthday tomorrow! Gah!

Oh well, despite all that I didn't go empty handed and did come across a Dirk Gently season one DVD which I never new existed, then rushed on home to get ready for the evening with my friend Rocio. Since I had got home at about 5pm, I watched an episode of Star Trek before getting ready so she could pick me up at 7pm.

I had a fantastic night at the Sydney Comedy Festival, which I saw the Ethnic All Stars. I was a little concerned at first as I hadn't heard of the names before, but they didn't disappoint at all. When we turned up we saw one guy who I am hoping was the MC just outside the room dressed up as a Banana and I'm only guessing he was the MC as the Sydney Comedy Festival mascot is a gorilla. But had a fantastic night, and was very thankful to my friend Rocio who took me out as a gift for my birthday. Especially since it has been a very long time since I've been to see a live stand up show, even since a member of Tripod insulted Spike from Buffy... does he not understand the whole Joss Whedon fandom thing? Bah!

When I got home it was very close to midnight and mum had just finished wrapping up my present, and said that it was Ok for me to open it. So I brought out her mother's day present for her to open as well. I had already bought the official one a few weeks back, which was a Samsung Tablet (see no Apple stuff!) but this was just a small thing for her to open. I actually waited until it hit midnight to open my present and was surprise to see The Sims 3 University game! Woot! She had also bought me a lovely owl Necklace a few weeks ago which I wear constantly.

10th of May 2013

Woke up with a bit of a start this morning, as my body could really use more rest. I ended up reading more of a book last night and before I knew what the time was, it was already 1am. Not sure how I managed to get up and get ready so quickly but I think it may have to be that I missed out on my morning cup of coffee that helped things move along so quickly. I also noticed that outside was very foggy and that you couldn't really see the house next door. Somehow I managed to make it to the train station on time to meet up with my friend. When we did meet up all we started to talk about is the Star Trek movie which we saw the night before and how much we've enjoyed it. I mentioned that there was one scene in which Benedict's character was teleported to a place and all I kept thinking was... "That's the poster!"

When we caught the train we noticed once more that there was less people then there usually was, so it did feel a little odd without having to shove or jump over people for seats. While on the train Rocio gave me my birthday present, which is is a ticket to see a few comedians on Saturday night. Which would explain why she wanted me to keep Saturday evening free. Haven't been to see a comedy show in a while so not only it will be a great night out with a friend, but we'll have people entertaining us instead of us being the entertainment. Before I got off at Town Hall Station she reminded me that there will be an eclipse on today at 9am to make sure I at least see a glimpse of it.

When I got into work I noticed that a few people had already arrived and had started on their work. I mentioned that I was going to message our manager to see if it was OK for me to duck out for about 10 minutes or so at 9am so I could see the eclipse which was happening at that time. She messaged me back to say she wasn't going to be in today as she still wasn't feeling well and that if I wanted to go out for a bit that was Ok by her. But then she messaged everyone and said that we could all go outside and have a half an hour meeting while we have a look at the eclipse.

So by the time 9am arrived we all walked over to Darling Harbour to watch the eclipse. What I didn't know at the time that it was only a little partial eclipse, but either way it was good to get out and enjoy the sunshine even if it was for half an hour or so. I ended up buying a hot chocolate on the way back to help warm me up a little bit more.

Not much really happened throughout the day as it's Friday and everyone seems a little quiet trying to concentrate on a Friday as not many felt like doing any work with the weekend so close. Somehow we managed to get a lot of things done, and I really surprised myself with the fact that I managed to keep a lot of the emails down without them piling up like they were before.

At lunchtime Gloria and I headed over to Nandos for lunch and it was her treat as a birthday treat for me. Since we left lunch a little earlier than usual it was packed when we arrived, but managed to quietened down after about 10 minutes or so. We just chatted about the usual things and about what we were going to do over the weekend. One the way back we passed a flower shop and I was somewhat tempted to buy a pot plant, but then I realised that once I pack up my desk I'll be taking my Dexter plant back home with me. So there wasn't any real point in buying a plant for myself.

Later in the afternoon a bunch of accounts people gathered to say goodbye to one of the temps who was leaving us. She had been with us since February of this year and managed to get a whole bunch of annoying invoices out of the way, but she managed to find a full time job. Not long after that it was time for our usual Friday get together within the kitchen, where the monthly awards were given out. I didn't win once again, but it's funny how even though I never win each month I am coming second on the list for the whole of accounts.

One of the guys from Corporate announced that it had been one of his team members birthday on Wednesday, which is when everyone gave around of applause. Then Nick from my team wanted to announce that it will be my birthday on Sunday, and everyone continued their clapping.

Nothing much happened after that. I went home and finished off the book which kept me up awake till the early hours of the morning. Ended up annoying me a little that it really didn't have a good plot. While reading the book Frank called me over to show me the guy from the Cowboys who kinda looks like my brother. So we've all nicknamed him Wayne now, so whenever he appears on the TV we now say that my brother is on TV.

9th of May 2013

Woke up with a bit of a start this morning, as when I went to bed last night all I remember was watching a movie and not actually turning it off. So I had a bit of a puzzled look on my face for a bit as I was wondering how the TV managed to turn off on it's own without me using the sleep button.

Got to the station a little later than usual, and it was also not as full as it use to be. Rocio and I managed to even get a two seater on the train, which is where we use to sit many months ago until the train started to get pack. I wasn't really looking forward to going into work today, only because it was Thursday and tracker day. Which means that it's usually a stressful day if you haven't caught up with your emails.

When I got into work a lot of the programs which we usual use constantly wasn't work or even loading. So for about 20 minutes we kept restarting our computers or trying to log on a different way which didn't seem to be working. I actually made some progress and managed to get a screen open, when someone then started to walk up to everyone to say that we couldn't process any invoices as of yet as there was some testing going on. All I could think about was why an email wasn't sent earlier? Oh well.

Not long after this debacle, Gloria received a called from the Area Leader saying that she was running a little bit late and wanted to let her know that not only was our manager away sick today, but another guy from our team was actually in Queensland doing training. We both we kinda shocked as we hadn't heard anything. The manager also sent everyone a message saying that she wouldn't be in, but was leaving me in charge. Which I personally thought was kinda funny, as it seems as what I predicted earlier in the month was coming true. My last few weeks would seem like I was on death row and my 'last meal' was constantly getting approved. Which I personally thought it was a little funny.

We had a quick meeting, which I let everyone know which things were more important to focus on today and if we got everything that we could by 4pm we could play a small game of bingo to ease a bit of the tension that Thursdays usually give us.

I focused mainly in the morning an email that had been sitting there for a bit and decided to make it my main attention today so I could get rid of it, as it also seems like it needs a bit of work. So I was more than happen to put on my headphones and be in the zone and focus on it much more quickly.

During lunch Gloria and I with another girl at work went into the Galleries for lunch. I had to stop by EB Games as the Walking Dead game was released today and I went to pick it up. The guy behind the counter told me that he has been receiving a lot of good feedback from the game. Since it's a story telling type of game there is a lot of choices which you have to make which will shape the world about you and can have good or band consequences. He mentioned that sometimes the choices you have are both bad and you have to choose the lesser of the two evils so to speak. So I'm really looking forward to playing it.

On the way back to work we ended up bumping into Jia who just meeting Sandra for lunch, and it amazes me how relaxed and refreshed she looks since quitting a couple of weeks back. I'm so happy for her and the fact she isn't regretting her decision. It looks to have done her a world of good.

Not much happened at work in the afternoon as pretty much everyone was buckled down. At 4pm we ended up playing bingo where I was calling the numbers. The funny thing was that everyone ended up winning as they were all waiting on the same numbers. And the last number to be called was the number 13. I thought that was pretty awesome.

After work I headed straight to the shops near my place where I was meeting Rocio at Hoyts as we went to see the new Star Trek movie in 3D. Was such a fantastic movie, and I highly recommend it. It seems as though with what little knowledge I do have of Star Trek from what I have seen, I did recognise a few characters that I remember. Though it was funny when the character Captain Pike came on screen I turned to my friend and said "Hey! That's the real McCoy!" and we both kinda giggled and laugh what I said.

Now that I'm back home, I'm still feel a little hyped up and I'm tossing over whether I should read a book or weather I should watch an episode of Star Trek before falling asleep. Most likely will read a book. Just hoping it doesn't keep me awake even longer.

8th of May 2013

Woke up this morning a little late, but still made it to the bus and train on time. When I met up with my friend at the train station, Rocio then suggested that we changed carriages and I hadn't brought it up. Funny thing was, that as we were walking down the platform she ended up meeting an old friend of hers. Which made me think how many other people we all know who may also catch the same train as us, but we have no idea as we stick to the same carriages each and everyday.

It was a little weird catching the old carriage that I used to catch, especially with someone that I know this time. I could also tell that it was making my friend uncomfortable, mostly because she told me that it was. I offered to only try this again on Mondays to be part of my final send off, instead of making this happen for the whole week. But it wasn't long before we got stuck into our usual conversation and the train ride was long over before we knew it.

Once I got into work not a lot was happening as we pretty much got stuck into thing right away, as there was a lot to get through especially with people wondering why things hadn't been paid as of yet. So you have two options, either focus on emails of people complaining or focus on invoices which need to be paid to make people stop complaining. Trying to balance the two can be difficult and you have to find a medium or at least hope that people let you know that they haven't been paid sooner rather than later.

Nick who had arrived from Jakarta the other day went around the team and gave everyone a small gift which he gave everyone, which was a very sweet thing to do. So I ended up wearing it on my wrist the whole day, mostly because it has a dragon on it and dragons are cool.

Ended up messaging my friend Rocio again to see if she wanted to go to the movies tomorrow to see the new Star Trek movie (yes it does seem that I'm in a Star Trek phase at the moment, and no I don't know why). She told me that she still wanted to, so I went and bought some tickets to be prepared for tomorrow in case they had sold out for the 6:30pm session which we wanted to go to. We're going to see it in 3D, and who wouldn't want to see Benedict Cumberbatch on the big screen and in 3D? *drools*

During lunch Gloria and I did a bit of shopping before we went to grab something to eat, and I decided before we headed off back to work to get one of the Tim Tam shakes from Gloria Jeans before heading back to work. Once we got back to work I started to chat with a friend of mine Sandra which I hadn't done in such a long time, especially since her team had a big change over. I felt back for not talking to her in such a long time, but we both also knew that she was so extremely busy that we would both would have received such stern looks for even chatting for a little bit.

Once 3pm rolled by a bunch of  the staff gathered around the desk of Victoria, another girl who was leaving as it was her last day today and she was also moving to Queensland. She is honestly one of the most greatest people that I have ever known. Plus she is a cat person as well, so why wouldn't I think she is awesome? I personally know that she has such a great relationship with the staff not only of were we were but of the customers we help out to, that I think it's such a shame that the company is loosing such a great person. She even mentioned that she loved the people within the company, it just that she didn't like the job anymore.

Once everyone wandered back their desk, I was approached about a job which may suit what I'm looking for and if I was interested to let them know so that they can pass on my resume on to them. I said I'll read into it for now and will get back to them later, as I wanted to see how things were and wanted to get a second opinion from a close friend of mine first.

When it was finally home time, I noticed that there was a firetruck which had just arrived for the building across the road. This is the second time I saw a firetruck so close to near where I work in the past couple of days. I'm starting to think that there may be a fire bug in the area with the amount of times the fire brigade are called for the smallest things.

Once I got home I managed to get my hands on the first four original seasons of Doctor Who. So maybe once I finally done the whole Star Trek thing and caught up and finished The Original Series of Star Trek I can start from the beginning of Doctor Who, which I am really looking forward to. As for now, I'm about to watch the 2009 movie of Star Trek to get me up to date for the movie tomorrow!

7th of May 2013

Woke up at my usual time this morning, except mum had switched shifts the other day so she was doing the early shift this morning. Which usually means a race to who can use the bathroom first, or more honestly me staying in bed for another 15 more minutes until she finishes from the bathroom while I make myself a cup of coffee as well.

Met up with Rocio as per usual at the train station. It seems as though I couldn't convince her to change carriages today, but tomorrow is another day and I really would like to go back to my old carriage as a final farewell before I finish up at the end of the month. Guess for a bit of sentimental value. While we were both chatting away on the train, I honestly cannot recall even half of the conversations which we have. Though I'm pretty sure I was talking about Doctor Who again, but I was also talking about Star Trek the original series and how I started to watch that a little. Some episodes are making me a little bit confused, only for the stories of the actual character within the TV show. One episode there seems to be a love interest between two characters and within the next it's between another character.

As we got closer to Town Hall station I was scrolling through the Facebook news feeds when I noticed that EA had announced that The Sims 4 will be available for release next year. As soon as I read that I had a bit of a jump and I'm pretty sure I had a bit of hysterical fit on the train, as I retold the story to Rocio about the EB Games guy who had told me a while back that EA wouldn't release a Sims 4 because their making too much money off the Sims 3. So where ever that EB Games guy is, I hope that is recalling the exact same conversation and realising what a complete idiot he was. Honestly, if I can only remember how he looked like I would go up to him and say "I told you so!" and then walk off, but then he probably wouldn't remember the conversation. After my little outburst I waved goodbye to my friend and as I headed up the stairs to get off the train some guy stopped me and say "Hey! How's it going?" No idea who he was and only replied back with "Hey" before running off the train. Maybe he liked my little outburst? No idea!

Once I got into work I met up with Nick who's first day back from Jakarta and from training our replacements there. He loved the decorations that we had set up for him and the boss for their first day back at work in Sydney. I told him I decorated his desk and went for a Pro Hart kind of decoration, which is when he gave me a weird look as if he didn't know what I meant. Until I said "Oh Mr Hart... What a mess!" then he laughed and remembered the commercial. I also pointed out an envelope on his desk and inside a letter I had wrote addressing him as "Lord Nick" and put it into the style of one Sith talking to another Sith (Star Wars reference). Thanking him on training the new recruits to the 'Dark Side'. He loved it and said he was going to take it him. Not long after the boss walked in all flabbergasted and talked about what a wonderful time they had at Jakarta and learning new experiences.

Not long later, I received a call from a recruitment agency regarding some position which he'd like me to be interviewed for. But he mentioned that it was probably better to wait till close to the end of the month when I was made redundant instead of having an interview now. This would be more for to see how I was as a person and how my personality is, so he didn't want to waste my time about small things. Which is probably the most honest thing I have ever heard from a recruitment agency all my life! I'm very thankful for the friend of my who passed on my details to him.

At about 11am we had our meeting/morning tea to welcome them both back and they told us stories about the fun they had meeting the new recruits and how much that they are learning and so very quickly. We were also told of more coming changes that were happening, but will most likely happen within June. For most of the meeting we were shown photos of the people and told wonderful stories about them. I had a weird feeling that the reason for this is to relate to them and not to dislike them for all the changes that are happening, as it has nothing to do with the people. They had no choice in this. Which is what everyone already knows, but apparently a lot of people within the company still give the people in Jakarta a lot of grief for a lot of the mistakes which they do. Especially since we were told that their learning much more quickly than what was to be expected. Who knows though? I could be understanding this whole situation completely wrong.

When it was time for lunch, I had messages from Rocio to tell me that she managed to get tickets for The Adams Family musical, and we'll be going with her daughter and her partner in early June! So cannot wait to go and see that, it really looks to be a great show!

For the rest of the day not much happened, we found out that more people are leaving on their own terms to find more suitable to reliable jobs. So more cards where going around for people to sign and to donate a gold coin which will go towards a gift.

The rest of the day went by pretty quickly, especially helping out a few suppliers who also had a lot of their invoices missed from recent payment runs, and wanted to know when their be paid. So we had to do everything manually, especially seeing more invoices coming through to us which had a lot of errors within them. This morning in one state alone I had over 200 invoices which had errors, and half of which didn't even belong to the state or to the same country!

I also ended up ordering some 50th Anniversary Doctor Who stamps from England. Weird thing is that they never gave me an ETA on when they would arrive, and also that today is apparently stamp collections day or something along those lines. I can't wait till the 25th of May when it's Towel day, to celebrate Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy!

The rest of the day when by pretty quickly, and as always very thankful when I started to head off home. Even more grateful that I had managed to get a seat on a packed train, which I thought was a little odd. When I got home we decided to do a little celebrating of our own for "No Diet Day", and had some KFC before I cuddled up within my blankets to watch me some more Star Trek! Which reminds me that there is only two more episodes left of Arrow before the send of the season. Which also means that Dexter will start soon and a whole new bunch of TV shows. I need to start writing down these shows which I need to watch!

6th of May 2013

Hey everyone!

Had a bit of a break, but I am finally back! So much to do and so many things (mostly small have happened). Just to give you a recap of what has happened over the past few weeks, isn't really much to be honest. A couple of people have left on their free will from work finding jobs elsewhere, and I have also moved desks at work and am now sitting next to Gloria for my last final weeks.

I had considered writing about what has happened over the past few weeks, but it would honestly take me a lot longer and would be a lot fuzzier as it got closer to April the 15th from where I last wrote my blog. But decided, that I was just best enough to consider that I had a bit of a break and continue from there.

This morning I got up at my usual time and met my friend Rocio at the station. I mentioned to her that I was thinking that for at least a week or so that we should change carriages to where I use to sit before I met up with her, so I could kinda have my last final goodbye before my last day of work at the end of the month. I honestly don't think she is up for it, as I can understand changing seats will feel a little differently. But I promised it'll be only for a week.

I mentioned to my friend a funny thing that had happened within Doctor Who that I saw the night before, and I thought it was extremely funny. So when I mentioned what happened within a scene to my friend she just looked at me blankly stating that it was way too early in the morning for her. I personally couldn't believe that she couldn't get it! If you're wondering the scene was based in about the year 1835 and a guy was sitting in the riding seat of a carriage when he declared that he was lost. A small boy asked him where he wanted to go, the older man told him where. Which is when the kid said something like "You need to turn around as soon as possible, turn left then keep following the road for 6 miles until you reach your destination." The older man thanked the young boy, gave him a tip then asked for the young boys name. "My name is Thomas Thomas." I had to practically tell my friend..."His name is THOMas... THOMas!" When I basically told this to Gloria, she didn't get it as well! Bah! I may need new friends!

This morning the trains where also delayed due to night time work running into overtime. It honestly felt as though that the train would be late by 5 or 10 minutes, which isn't that much of a big deal for me. But the train did stop at start a lot in between stations which made me about 20 minutes later than usual. There was no one really in charge of our team today except for Gloria, as the manager wont be back from Jakarta till tomorrow and the assistant manager has already left for a 3 week holiday. So we had a small meeting saying that we needed to decorate desks so that they could see it tomorrow, and also prepare a morning tea as well.

Once we got back to our desks (or my new one in this case) we had a lot of work to catch up on and got stuck into the invoices which seems to have been piling up. There is still a high volume of mistakes being made, which just means that we are left to clean it up. Which also means that all our other work is also piling up, and making everyone a bit stressful. They also had changed our targets which we needed to reach about a week ago as well, so a lot of people are frustrated about that. But I figured that I am only here for a few more weeks so there isn't much for me to worry about or argue about as well.

During lunch a few of us decided to go into the Galleries to eat and have a bit of a catch up and chat about what has been happening for the past few days. Especially since one of the girls I was having lunch with was pregnant she was telling us about all the appointments she is and also about to have and how she is nervous and excited at the same time as well. When we started to head back to work I ended up bumping into a awesome friend of mine Jorge who I hadn't seen in such a long time. Caught up on a few things, but I was in a rush to get back to work, and he seemed to be in a rush to go somewhere too. It's weird how there is so many people rushing about the city, and you end up bumping into at least one person who know!

After we had lunch, I decided that it was best to clean up some of the desks which people had switched, so that when the manager came back they'd find their desks nice and clean. We also decided to decorate them as well as a "Welcome Back" for being away for such a long time. While a few of us did that it was Gloria's turn to write on the window, so she was having a little trouble finding inspirational quotes. Which is when I told her that when it was my turn a couple of weeks back I had put up a Doctor Who quote and no one really noticed, so I don't think anyone would really mind what quote you put up. So when she finally put one up, I decided yet again to put up another Doctor Who quote, but this time a much more sillier quote.

For the rest of the afternoon not much more happened. I keep receiving calls from Telstra to pay a bill even though I Have had it wiped off. The funny thing (well not really) is that the Telstra debt department keep calling me, but instead of waiting a few rings they hang up after just one ring. And I know it isn't something to do with my phone, as I've tested it just in case. But this time I managed to answer it and explained to them that there was a mistake and that I had it wiped off. Which is when they wanted the reference number I was referring to, but I couldn't give it to them as it was written down at home.So when it was time to leave, thankfully there wasn't any major delays and I managed to get home at my usual time and give Telstra back a call to provide them with the reference number.

Now that I have had a bit of time and also applied for a few jobs, I may get back into Star Trek the original series which I started to watch over the weekend and see how I go. I've also wanted to get into it, and I'm finding it ok so far. Nothing terribly exciting, but for the year that it was made I think the graphics are pretty awesome.

16th of April 2013

When I woke up this morning I noticed that it had been raining all night and as well as this morning. I was a little excited as I would have to wear my red gum boots for the first time to work! Looking at them I felt a little silly and thought that I really shouldn't be out in public wearing these. But I managed to finally convince myself that it was a great idea and that who ever thought that I was silly, doesn't know that in fact that I was silly. I also had to prepare some clothes as I would be going to a party right after work. But I also had an interview which I had to be at from 4pm, so I let me friend know who I catch the train with that I was running a little bit late, as I had started to head off to the bus stop in my shiny new gumboots, only to realise that I had completely forgotten to bring with my my usual work shoes and had to make the trek back home.I also let her know that it was probably a good idea as I was wearing the red gum boots.

I got into work a few minutes late, since I caught the later train. I received a few comments from work friends about my shiny red gum boots, and was told that it was a great idea to wear them to work with all the wet and flooded streets about. So I felt a little proud of them. In fact I had contemplated on wearing my think blue coat to work as well, but feared that I would have looked too much like Paddington bear and decided against it.

Throughout the day we ended up hearing about the bombings in Boston and that they weren't sure what and who had done it, and they were looking into finding the people involved with it.  A lot of people were already calling it an act of terrorism, and I guess in a way it is a form of it. But I had personally thought that it was most likely just one white guy, similar to the Oklahoma bombings.

At  11am the team heading off to a nice coffee shop where we had a fun weekly meeting where we ended up having a small meeting plus the game of squares. Though during the meeting I received a call about a job offer and had to step out of the coffee shop for a while. I was little concern about the job offer as it was for an extra position (which is casual work), and they wanted me to pay an upfront fee of about $250.00, which is for a photo shoot etc. So I thought it was a little odd, especially since they had text me offering me a job THEN told me to forget about the job and to pay for the photo shoot first. I had a bad gut feeling about it and decided against it.

Headed back to work just a little after 12 and got stuck into answering a large amount of email before lunch. We had been told that the assistant manager who was looking after a few things while the manager was away would be away for two days. Thursday and Friday due to a conference  that had been scheduled.

Not much happened through the day, and mostly because I was nervous about the interview which I had at 4pm. So at 3:30pm I packed up my desk and got ready for the interview, before heading off to World Square the offices were at. It was a little difficult finding the place, but I ended up finding it on time. It looked a little promising, more so that the others that I had and left there feeling a little confident. I then headed off to Circular Quay were I was meeting up a friend of mine before the party. We had a few hours to kill so we stopped City Extra to have something to eat before the party.

At a little after 6pm we headed over to the Cruise Bar where the party was being held. There were already a a large group of people who had started to line up. There was also a guy dressed up as a zombie walking about, and I am pretty sure it was the same zombie guy that I saw for Norman Reedus interview that was walking up and down through the crowds. The funny thing was a copy ended up pulling him a side and wanting to find out what he was doing.

Once we got in were had a pretty good time. People were playing the new Dead Island game, which looked very interesting. There were competitions to win a trip into space. I didn't enter as it mentioned the vigorous training you would have to do, and I didn't think I would be able to make it into space. I ended up seeing a guy who looked very familiar, and I don't know where I noticed him and it was bugging me the whole night and every time he walked passed. For some reason I kept thinking that he looked like one of the boyfriends that Buffy had on the TV show called Parker Abrams, and in a way he did kinda look like him... even though I knew it wasn't him. Bah! Hated when you think you know someone and you can't remember were.

At the party there was also a place where they can put some makeup on you to look like you got injured. I thought what the hell and ended up getting it done anyways. My friend Rocio ended up getting one that look like she had a shot in the head and mine was pretty gross of a big gash on my face. It looked as though that I had been stabbed on the cheek with a piece of glass, as it looked as though the piece of glass was still on my face. There was also some weird drinks which they gave zombie names to. We had one and noticed that there was a piece of lychee on the bottom of the glass which made it look as if it was a piece of brain.

Rocio put a picture of her 'wound' on Facebook which sparked one of her friends telling her off and that she should be sensitive to what had happened throughout the day. I commented on the picture and told her we were at a zombie party, which sparked off more insults to me. I thought it was pretty funny considering at no point we had made fun of people dying, we were just celebrating the release of a game.

At about 10pm we headed off home. Rocio had already taken off her 'wound', but I kept mine on. Which made a lot of people point and look at me from a distance. I even gave a couple of people a shock on the train. It was so very hard at not to laugh. Especially when people were pointing and talking to a friend of theirs in another language when you just knew that they were talking about you. I half wished that I would go to work in the morning like this, but I knew that was never going to happen. Once I got home I washed off the make up from my face and ended up crashing on my bed asleep.

15th of April 2013

Had a lot of trouble waking up this morning, as I couldn't get to sleep the night before. One of the problems with resting and relaxing during the weekend is that you have trouble getting to sleep when you need to, so you don't get enough sleep the night before. Apart from all that I managed to get ready and dressed on time and made it to the bus stop. I wont go into how my new MP3 player is awesome again, but it definitely has put a change to listening to music while I am on my way to work.

Once I got into work there was a lot of things to do this morning, especially with a lot of errors which have been popping up as of late which we have no control over. What we use to do was if it was a small error we'd fix them ourselves with not that much of a fuss, but as of late we now have to report every error and now cannot touch any of the invoices until they are fixed. But it causes a lot more work on our end and can lead to some people not being paid. So you have to weight things up and decide which is best.

Later in the morning I was told by a friend of mine that she officially had resigned today. I knew it was coming, as she had been telling me all of the previous week what she was thinking of doing. I was concerned for her as the stress of everything that was happening was not only getting to her but to a lot of other people as well. So it's no wonder that a lot of people have been leaving as of late. If I hadn't been made redundant I would be very concerned about what is going on as well.

At about lunch time she came to visit my desk to hand me a very early birthday present. I was confused at first as my birthday isn't for a month away. Which I then realised that she wont be here in a months time, as she'd be leaving next week. I said thanks and she had to hurry off. It was an owl doorstop as well as an owl card. I didn't take a photo of a card because it has personal words within it. But she had put some awesome drawings in there of stuff we've done together, and stuff that we've both experience within the past 2 years of knowing each other through work. It's one of the best cards I have ever - and most likely will EVER - receive. It put a huge smile on my face and constantly made me giggle at remembering everything that we've been through. A couple of people came up to me to see what was going on and they saw the owl.

I ended up going to lunch with Gloria and my head was filled with invoices that were driving me a little nuts, so it was a good thing to go outside and have my head cleared. When I got back to work I had received a message from a friend of mine that she was upset with my that I had disclosed something that she told me in confidence to a couple of people. I felt really bad and apologised that I had done so. But from the conversation that we had earlier in the day I had thought that everyone had known and that it was out in the open. I felt really really bad. I have this horrible trait of mine, even though I've been told it's a great trait to have. I can't lie... I mean I can joke about and pretend. But I end up laughing and saying 'I got you.' But to lie to someone in their face can't do it. I can't even say 'It's none of your business' or 'I rather not say.' It gets me into so much trouble a lot of the times, especially like today, and I end up kicking myself that I what I say can hurt someone. So it was fair enough that she was really cross at me and I felt horrible through out the day.

The rest of the working day went pretty well, apart from the fact that I felt like crap for upsetting a friend of mine and betraying their trust. So I was very glad that it was home time, but I also had an appointment in the afternoon which I stopped for. So I ended up getting home later than I usually would when I finished work. I started to message my friend that I made upset, to see if there was anyway that I could help with things, and try and repair any of the damage that I done. I ended up talking things out with her, and she seemed to be ok. But I couldn't get rid of the feeling that I had made a mess of things.

I then ended up making myself a coffee and sitting down to watch another of 'The Big Fat Quiz' and heading off to bed.

14th of April 2013

Slept in a lot again this morning, but not as much as yesterday. Which honestly surprised me considering what time I did end up going to bed last night. When I got out of bed I made myself a coffee, just like I did yesterday morning and had a quiet read outside while enjoying the sunshine once more. This time at about 10am, I received a phone call from my aunt who lives in the next street over to see if I was going to make an appearance this afternoon, and I said that I would for a few hours. I had to be there before 2pm.

So I started to do a bit of washing, as I needed to wash my bed sheets, towels and also clothes to make sure my uniforms were ready for work tomorrow. In between loads I read some more and even watched a bit more TV, but when 1pm came along and I had a shower and changed, I was glad to be walking outside to visit my aunt as the weather was fantastic today. Before I had left to visit my aunt, even Howard seem to enjoy the weather a lot as he was singing his little heart out again.
I headed over to my aunts place where another aunt of mine was there as well. We played a few games of rummy for a few hours, and during that time my cousin who lives in Canberra came over for a visit. Apparently she is visiting for a few days during the school holidays. When it came close to 5pm I had to take off to to finish some chores as I needed to get the clothes off the line before before it got dark.

I got stuck in reading again and wanted to finish reading the book before I went to bed. When it got close to midnight I finally finished off another book and was finding it hard to go to sleep. Though it may have to do with the fact that I've been relaxing and sleeping in a lot, so I decided to put on a movie to hopefully would make me fall asleep. I put on the movie Buried with Ryan Reynolds as I hadn't seen it before, and I figured that I would be so engrossed in it, trying to pay attention that I would only fall asleep which I always seem to do when I come across something very interesting at night. This time though it had the opposite effect and I was wide awake for the whole thing. Thought the movie was interesting, as it did have a different take than normal movies. It wasn't my typical movie. Thought don't get me wrong the acting in what Ryan had to use in was fantastic! The story line was a bit off, but they played with best they could I guess.

In the end I ended up just putting a cartoon which knocked me right out!

13th of April 2013

Wow... what a Saturday! I don't think I've personally had a Saturday like this in such a long LONG while! It's one of the rarest days where you make yourself a high priority. With everything that is going around, it was about time that I got to spoil myself a little bit. And there is nothing better in my books, to spoil yourself by sleeping in. I didn't get up until 11am, and I probably could have stayed in bed a lot longer.

When I got out of bed, I made myself a cup of coffee and drank it outside while I enjoyed the sunshine. I also read a book while I was enjoying my coffee, and before I knew it an hour had passed and it was already after lunch. So I had a shower and got ready and then remembered I wanted to get a facial done today and had forgotten to make an appointment. So I quickly called up to make an appointment, but unfortunately it was all booked up and I couldn't get my facial done. Not letting that burst my spirits, I still headed off to the shops via bus and take my sweet time.

When I arrived at the shops I had passed by one of those chemists which sells a whole bunch of perfume, so I quickly had a browse to see how much they were selling the perfume "Tommy Girl." I had tested it within Woolworths in the city and it smelled pretty good. But Woolworths in the city was selling it for about $80.00 and I didn't really feel like spending that much in the city. This chemist though, was selling the same perfume with the same amount of mls for only $30.00. Which really annoyed me that a brand like Woolworths could up their price by so much. Isn't there any honest companies anymore? Just seeing the price difference annoyed me and put me off from buying Tommy Girl altogether.

I made a quick stop at Priceline where I ended up being an Elizabeth Taylor perfume and also Panache which is a perfume I always did like to use, and it had been a while since I did buy a bottle. I also bought a small packet of face mask. I figured I may as well do the facial myself and at home where I didn't have to spend a lot of money, or answer a whole series of questions which I really wasn't up to answering anyways. I then headed towards Target as I needed to buy some gum boots and I had been told that Target had a large range of them for sale. Which was completely true! They had a very large range, so much so that I wasn't sure which one I should end up buying. In the end I decided to be a little dangerous and ended up buying some red gumboots.

Later on I decided to spoil myself a little more and bought myself a blue handbag. It seemed to be one of those days where I was deciding to be a little more strange that I normally am. The odd thing is too (and maybe it was the girly girl inside of me wanting to branch out) I ended up buying a Mills and Boon book for a bit of reading. Embarrassing I know! You know how many years it has been since I've read one of these things? A LOT! In hindsight I think I needed one of those girly days which I'm hoping many women like to do occasionally. If I could think of a romance movie to watch, I may have ended up watching a romance movie. Unfortunately I couldn't think of one, or couldn't think of the idea at the time, and just stuck with the romance novel.

I then headed off home, and ending up putting on my pj's with my newly bought facial mask, sitting in front of the TV watching a show which I had discovered early in the day called 'Big Fat Quiz of the Year.' It's hosted by Jimmy Carr and it happens once in the year at the end of the year. And it basically about questions about what had happened throughout the year, while also being very funny! Once the show was over I had a shower and washed my hair and got deeply engrossed into the Mills and Boom book until about... ohhh 4 am in the morning! Yes... I'm slightly nuts!... But only slightly!

12th of April 2013

One month till my birthday! I don't know why I get all excited about it, maybe because one of these days I'll actually have the ice cream cake I've been asking for so long! :-p
Anyways, just having that thought made me jump out of bed or it could have simply be because it was Friday and the end of the week. Rocio and I had also decided that after work we were going to play some aqua golf as well. It's been such a long time that I've played aqua golf, and I was looking forward to it.

When I got into work this morning, I hadn't really anything planned as I am very much up to date. So I decided that I would spend the day helping Gloria with all the invoices that she had (which was just under 500). So I doubled check with the manager to make sure that there wasn't any other emergencies that she'd rather that I help in. Apparently there were some emails which were piling up for other areas, which they may want me to help out in but would let me know later in the day.

When I started to help out with the invoices, I was told we were going to have our morning meeting outside. So once everyone was in, we headed off to a coffee shop to have our meeting. Only problem was that we were looking for a coffee shop in particular and no one knew where it was. So we ended up going to the one that was closest to us. I decided to order a toasted sandwich, but thought it was funny that they had the option of either: Toast with cheese, Toast with cheese and tomato, and Toast with cheese, tomato and avocado. There was no Toast with ham and cheese at all! Gloria pointed out that it may be a vegetarian cafe which was probably why there wasn't any ham. After we had our meeting and headed back into the office, we found out that the cafe we had original wanted to go to was just around the corner from the one we had just been in. Oh well.

Once we arrived back in the office I had my headphones on and just focused on clearing a lot of the invoices out. Before I knew it an hour went passed and we suddenly had an emergency meeting. Which was basically to tell us that there was going to be another big meeting as there was some confusion about what was going on, so the meeting was going to clear a lot of things up. Which was in a few moments anyway, so there was no point in turning around to get the invoices done as everyone went into the meeting room.

Throughout the meeting, I thought it was a little funny that the only people raising questions about what was going on was the people who made redundant. Well, all but one anyways. So technically there wasn't any real point in asking any questions. Which then made me think if this was one of the reasons why we were made redundant as we like to question things, instead of nodding out heads and carrying on. But I shook my head of it and try not to think in that way of thinking.

Once back at my desk I tried to get back in the grove of processing again, but was finding it a little difficult with all the distractions which we've had so far. So I put my headphones on and did the best that I could. Before I knew it lunch time had arrived and went and had some pasta within Darling Park. I was explaining that I find the whole looking for work a bit daunting. Mostly because of all the effort and hoops that you have to put though, and I wondered if people actually do read the cover letters that you spending hours writing and amending in hopes that it'll get you work. Only to be employed by a company who will then most likely make you redundant for cheap labour with people who most likely have no experience at all. I knew this kind of thinking was making me feel a little low again, and was thankful for Gloria in changing the subject and getting my mind off things.

Once we got back into the office I got stuck into the invoice once again, and by the time 4pm had rolled on by I managed to get the invoices down to about 250. There was only about 30 left as the rest were all errors which were logged in and there was nothing anyone could do until they were cleared from the system.

We were told after the Friday catch up in the kitchen that we all could go home early, and was thankful to leave early so I could catch another early train and wouldn't be arriving home in the dark. Once home I quickly got changed and had a small bite to eat before Rocio came over. I noticed that the football was about to start about half an hour before Rocio arrived, and they where showing a Sonny Bill Williams special before the game. Not only did they play a Muse song, but the SBW special was in the style of the Muse song, with news clippings here and there about everything he has done in his career.

About 8pm Rocio arrived with her daughter and we quickly went to get a bite to eat, which is when we so that they were playing soccer on the TV which was showing the Wanderers. They already already scored one goal by this stage. Afterwards we then headed towards Penrith the play aqua golfing. It had been such a long time that I've been here that they've changed the place a lot. We were only there for about and hour or so before we took off again. I thought I hit the ball well a few times, but nothing that actually hit any targets.

We then went to crispy cremes where I caught myself a fruit smoothie and a couple of donuts. We kept making weird faces and talking about the oddest thing. Which is when Rocio suddenly mentioned she had a bunch of old school songs, one of them being Sexy Eyes. So we headed off into the car and she played the song very loudly, and us singing along to the song, with her daughter covering her eyes feeling very embarrassed!

Once I arrived home and bid farewell, I was still in a high music mood and decided to browse my MP3 player for some awesome songs before I went to bed. Ended up coming across a song by the Living End called 'Short Notice'. Thought it was a pretty great song. Was still feeling a little wired and didn't think I could get some sleep. So I had decided to play the movie Mutant again and put the TV on sleep.

11th of April 2013

Woke up this morning in a pretty good mood, and unsure as to why as it was Thursday, and nothing really much happens on a Thursday. Once I got dressed and ready for work I headed over to the bus stop, and I remembered why I was loving the fact that I was catching the bus. I was listening to my MP3 player! I really feel like I was trapped in a cage, and now the cage door has finally flung open and I can see what I've been missing all these years! TAKE THAT APPLE! I AM NOW FINALLY FREE FROM YOU!

Caught the train with Rocio again this morning, well as I do every morning just ab, but. Was kinda hoping for a repeat of what happened yesterday, but there was no such luck. Then we got into a pretty serious discussion wondering if when you call in to say that you're late due to something happening with the trains, if your boss actually checks the Cityrail website to find out if it is true. I mentioned that I had taken a screen shot just in case no one believed me.

Once I got into work I got started on my emails right away. I knew that there wasn't much that I had to get through, as my emails were pretty much up to date anyways, but still tried to clear them as much as I could. I noticed that there was also a few emails that had been going back and forth with no resolution. There were only really two of them and I left them to much later in the day as I could. The two pain ones had been going on for a while, and with being away for 3 weeks didn't help either. So before it was lunch time, I made sure I got around to them and answered them in hopes they would go away. By that stage though I had a pounding headache and couldn't wait to get out of the office. I also have a craving for junk food which I'd hope will make the head ache go away. I think it was also on the verge of a migraine, but I've never really had one before so I can't really say. All I know was that I was very sensitive to the light and was very thankful when we sat in the dark food court with the QVB. Once we got back to work my head ache had left and I was feeling a lot better, and just thankful that I didn't have to face the annoying emails for the rest of the day.

For the rest of the afternoon I cleared a few more emails, and then helped out with invoicing for another state to help out the rest of the team. The only problem was, that my computer was really slow. To process just an invoice was taking over a minute each time. When 4pm came around I was so fed up by the slowness that I decided to restart my computer in the hopes it would help. It only really helped a little bit, but it was a least manageable and I wasn't wanting to pull out my hair.

On the way home the early train was running a few minutes late, and I was lucky enough to catch it as it was one of the express trains home. It also seem to make me feel a lot more better as I had a lovely view of the setting sun (sort of), and only really wished that I could have a better view of it.

Not much really happened when I got home, apart from me looking for more work. I forgotten how much I really didn't like looking for work. I thought that was the whole point in having a job so you didn't have to look for one anymore. Oh well. I found a handful of jobs which I sort of liked and applied for them before I headed off to bed.

10th of April 2013

Woke up this morning at a pretty reasonable time. I thought that I would be running late for the bus this morning, but I seemed to have made it without doing the 100 meter sprint and without looking like a fool as well.

When I got to the station there wasn't as many people waiting as there had been for the past few days, but that all changed when we all boarded the train. Either a bunch of people got new jobs or I really underestimated how many people really catch the train from this station.

Rocio mentioned that she had in her head for most of the day about images of Dubbo (the way that I had described) and no longer wanted to go there anymore, and that we needed to find another place to visit. She suddenly mentioned that Steve was very talkative today, and it took me a while to realise she was talking about the comic behind us. I literally did a big "OOohhhh!!" and agreed, as it seemed as though he had a friend with him on the train and was in a big discussion with him. We then burst into fits of laughter as one day, when they are talking about someone close by and they (hopefully) have no idea that we were talking about him.

Once we arrived at Parramatta, we realised that we had been stationed here for longer than usual. When we noticed people getting off the train. There was an announcement, but it wasn't on the train but was on the platform so we couldn't hear what they were saying. We did noticed that everyone had started to get off the train. Apparently there was a 'medical emergency' and everyone had to leave the train to catch another one. As this would be stopping here and not moving at all. So everyone within the whole train left and went on to platform 3! It's bad enough that the train was crowded already, but to be crowded again within Parramatta, not such a fun thing. Though one funny thing was that there was an announcement on platform 3 that said "The train which is running late, is now definitely late". Huh!?!

It took as a while to catch a train that was going into the city, as the first few trains were jam packed filled with people, and I'm a small person. I had no doubt that I would have been lost under someones armpit if we caught the first few trains. Even with me catching a later train, I was only late for work by about 20 minutes, so no real harm done, but it was a good thing that I had let them know the moment I knew something happened within Parramatta.

Within the first hour at work I had managed to clear out all the invoices which were clogging up for the past few days. The only invoices which were left had issues with them, and so I couldn't touch them anyways until they were fixed. The rest of the day I ended up clearing a few emails, and I managed to clear about 30 of them, which I was so very proud of myself. I even had a moment to help someone with a change of ownership with a supplier, but there wasn't really much to show as there were only a couple of things that needed to be done to it.

During lunch I dragged Gloria with me to a Sony electronics store. I had finally had enough of my iPod and wanted to get something to play my music that didn't wipe out all of my songs the moment that I wanted to put a few new songs on there. So I managed to find something reasonable, and it also has a FM radio! TAKE THAT APPLE! So when I got back to work, I cleared a few more emails while also charging for the first time my new SONY MP3 player.

And I can tell you, the trip home was one of the best going home in a long time! Listening to the radio! Wow... I hadn't done that in such a long time. And the best thing ?? I put it on Triple M and they welcomed me back by played a Muse song! Wow! Such bless! I have now spent the past 20 minutes updating it with songs. And the best part about it all? I've put soo many songs, and for a 16GB memory... it isn't full yet! And even if it was, there is always the comfort of the radio to listen to once more.

MY 100TH POST!

Happy 100th post to me! I honestly cannot believe that I've reached 100 posts! I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who has been reading my posts, and coming along with this journey with me every day. I honestly thought that when I decided to do this at the beginning of the year, that I wouldn't be excited to note down and take photos of what I do each and every day.

So thank you to everyone who has been reading my adventures. It is everyone who reads this little blog of mine that makes me excited to note down what I get up to each and every day.

Thank you!

9th of April 2013

With Monday over, Tuesday really slapped me awake today. I'm finding it a little difficult waking up in the morning, only because it is still dark in the morning when I'm getting ready and leaving for work. The sun is only peaking through once I make my way to the bus stop and to the train station. Every time I see the morning like this, there is a part of my brain that is trying to rationalise the whole thing and tell me that it way to early to be waking up and leaving for work.

While on the train with Rocio this morning, I asked her what was the actual point in both of us going to Perth later on, if the reason that we're going is to see the Supanova stars who are just going to be in Sydney anyways. So it looks like the whole Perth idea is cancelled and they we're just going to the Sydney one. She then suggested that we find another place were we can holiday, and the only suggestion she came up with is Dubbo. When I asked her what is in Dubbo she told me the zoo. When I pointed out that Sydney had a few good zoos she mentioned that Dubbo's zoo is one that you can drive through.

Now when someone tells me something like this, I'm pretty sure every other 'normal' brain would take that information and either say... "hmm good idea" or "hmm not a good idea". No... not my brain! My brain took that information then warped it into us driving through the zoo with monkeys' throwing their crap at our windows and lions trying to eat us alive. Which... if I recall correct... not only did I say this, but pretty much acted it out on the train. Which also apparently received a few tiny laughs on the train which I didn't end up hearing.

So while on the train to work, not only was I in tears of laughter, but I also had a very sore back from laughing so much and my face had tear streaks all over it from crying of laughter. I can only imagine what everyone else on the train was thinking!

Once I got into work, I pretty much got stuck right away into the invoices to make sure that they were making at least some progress and I was removing a lot. Which was a little difficult as a lot of the invoices had errors within them. Between all of this I was receiving and sending emails to Rocio with pictures of lions. She also mentioned that she's decided to call the guy who reads comics and plays games on the train will from now on be called 'Steve'... "because he looks like a Steve!"

Our team then had a meeting to catch up on a bunch of things, mostly because Gloria and I had been away and we needed to catch up on a few things had that changed over the weeks. Nothing major, but still good to catch up on as I was feeling a little lost for a bit there.

For lunch I had been invited by the team I had help to join them to a restaurant within World Square to eat some Dumplings, which I've never tried before. Which were very very yummy! The funny thing was, is that they sat us by the aquarium (well where the fish which would be eaten swam for a bit). Every time they took a fish to be cooked, I kept on pointing out that the rest of the fish looked really upset. It had been pouring with rain to the restaurant as well, so one of the girls shared her umbrella with me.

The rest of the day went by pretty smoothly, but when it was time to go home I pretty much dashed off as I was trying to catch the early train. Didn't work though as I had missed it by about 30 seconds. When I had got home mum made raviloi, which is one of my favorite meals of all. After dinner I started completing my resume and also applied for a few jobs as well.

Before I went to bed I also cleaned Howard's cage for him and made it all nice and shiny. I swear when I was finished she tweeted a bit as if to say "it's about bloody time". I then watched the Rifftrax version of Jurassic Park, and it's another really good funny riff which had me laughing a lot before I passed out asleep!
