With Monday over, Tuesday really slapped me awake today. I'm finding it a little difficult waking up in the morning, only because it is still dark in the morning when I'm getting ready and leaving for work. The sun is only peaking through once I make my way to the bus stop and to the train station. Every time I see the morning like this, there is a part of my brain that is trying to rationalise the whole thing and tell me that it way to early to be waking up and leaving for work.
While on the train with Rocio this morning, I asked her what was the actual point in both of us going to Perth later on, if the reason that we're going is to see the Supanova stars who are just going to be in Sydney anyways. So it looks like the whole Perth idea is cancelled and they we're just going to the Sydney one. She then suggested that we find another place were we can holiday, and the only suggestion she came up with is Dubbo. When I asked her what is in Dubbo she told me the zoo. When I pointed out that Sydney had a few good zoos she mentioned that Dubbo's zoo is one that you can drive through.
Now when someone tells me something like this, I'm pretty sure every other 'normal' brain would take that information and either say... "hmm good idea" or "hmm not a good idea". No... not my brain! My brain took that information then warped it into us driving through the zoo with monkeys' throwing their crap at our windows and lions trying to eat us alive. Which... if I recall correct... not only did I say this, but pretty much acted it out on the train. Which also apparently received a few tiny laughs on the train which I didn't end up hearing.
So while on the train to work, not only was I in tears of laughter, but I also had a very sore back from laughing so much and my face had tear streaks all over it from crying of laughter. I can only imagine what everyone else on the train was thinking!
Once I got into work, I pretty much got stuck right away into the invoices to make sure that they were making at least some progress and I was removing a lot. Which was a little difficult as a lot of the invoices had errors within them. Between all of this I was receiving and sending emails to Rocio with pictures of lions. She also mentioned that she's decided to call the guy who reads comics and plays games on the train will from now on be called 'Steve'... "because he looks like a Steve!"
Our team then had a meeting to catch up on a bunch of things, mostly because Gloria and I had been away and we needed to catch up on a few things had that changed over the weeks. Nothing major, but still good to catch up on as I was feeling a little lost for a bit there.
For lunch I had been invited by the team I had help to join them to a restaurant within World Square to eat some Dumplings, which I've never tried before. Which were very very yummy! The funny thing was, is that they sat us by the aquarium (well where the fish which would be eaten swam for a bit). Every time they took a fish to be cooked, I kept on pointing out that the rest of the fish looked really upset. It had been pouring with rain to the restaurant as well, so one of the girls shared her umbrella with me.
The rest of the day went by pretty smoothly, but when it was time to go home I pretty much dashed off as I was trying to catch the early train. Didn't work though as I had missed it by about 30 seconds. When I had got home mum made raviloi, which is one of my favorite meals of all. After dinner I started completing my resume and also applied for a few jobs as well.
Before I went to bed I also cleaned Howard's cage for him and made it all nice and shiny. I swear when I was finished she tweeted a bit as if to say "it's about bloody time". I then watched the Rifftrax version of Jurassic Park, and it's another really good funny riff which had me laughing a lot before I passed out asleep!
