Was so easily to get out of bed this morning. Though I'm guessing I wasn't the only one who could jump out of bed so quickly, considering that after today was over we would have a 4 day weekend. I think these kind of weekend should come by more often. Though we would hardly get anything done if they did.
After the usual getting ready for work and catching the train, I've been carrying a book with me called 'Rot and Ruin' which I had got for Christmas from my friends at Spotlight Report, which I had been picking up to read every now and then. Though as there is only a handful pages left to go, everything seems to be happening all at once. So I managed to read a little on the train.
Got pretty much stuck into work as there was a lot to do today. Sending off requesting is pretty easy work, and it's just basically copy and paste. The annoying task is when you start to receive responses. So after about 90 requests which I had sent, I really wasn't looking forward to the responses which I was doing to eventually receive.
A co worker of mine handed me some earring which she had made. She told me she had went through a phase where she was making some earrings as a hobby, but how she has a drawer filled with them and didn't know how to get rid of them. I found a pair which I thought were nice and put them on to wear right away.
I also received a small Easter package from one of the girls at work, and had received a large Easter egg from the manager which I am helping out (on Tuesday). So I felt a little of the love today. A lot of people weren't really in the mood to do a lot of work today, as I think with the excitement of the four day long weekend coming up, Thursday felt like a Friday. So a lot of people (including myself) were a lot more relaxed and had plenty of jokes to pass around.
I even had lunch with a couple of friends with work, but a lot of the places were pretty packed out. I was considering on looking up when the Walking Dead game was being released, but with everything coming up I don't think I would have enough time to play it at all. Before our lunch was over, I had to take off a bit earlier as I had a couple of things to pick up from Woolies before heading back to work.
Because no one was going to be at work on the Friday, the usual Friday end of the day meeting was put on today. But there were no announcements, so it was just basically a social gathering. I normally would've joined, but there was just so many tasks that I wanted to complete before heading off home.
When I dashed off home, mum and Frank were in bit of a panic as my cousin and uncle were going to be having dinner with us for the last day, since they were leaving on Sunday. Though when I got home mum told me she cut her finger pretty bad early in the morning, and that it wouldn't stop bleeding. So she had it all wrapped up for most of the day to get the
bleeding to stop. The relatives ended up coming over at about 7pm, and since my uncle Joe was coming with them, he got lost as per usual even though he was only one street away.
Had an awesome did especially with such wonderful company, but they didn't end up staying for long as another uncle of mine wanted to spend more time with them. And since they were only at their place for about an hour before coming to visit us, he wanted to drop on by again before heading off.
Oh well, it was a short and sweet stay. I'm glad I could spend a lot of time with them anyways. At least I'd be spending some more time with them before they left anyways.
