27th of March 2013

Woke up a little late this morning, so I had to rush to make it to the station. I made sure though that I had my trusty book with me to read on the train as well as during my lunch break. I haven't been playing much of Candy as of late, as I am currently stuck on a level. No matter how many times I seem to play it I always get one or two moves away from completing the level before I run out of moves. It's starting to become very boring real quickly when the only way you seem that you can make any progress is if you buy a few extra lives. Now I'm all for paying for apps, especially those that keep us entertained. But having to buy lives to make any progress is something I am totally against.

Before I headed into work I bought a large packet of small Easter Eggs which I handed to everyone within accounts. I gave everyone about three each and left it on their desk for them to enjoy.

Once I got in to work I pretty much got started on things right away. I've been putting my head down and focusing on my work as of late, as the big task which we've been assigned with the team I'm assisting have a lot of work to get through and I really do want to make a lot of progress. Unfortunately to make a lot of progress means that you have to do a lot of the same tasks over and over again. I don't mind it at all as long as there is some clear sign that you're making head way. Which we are.

During lunch I decided to head over to Darling Harbour for a bit of a walk. It seems as though they are putting up a large circus tent, which may be due to the Easter Holidays coming up. I sat inside the plaza and and read a couple of chapters of the book that I am reading before eventually heading back to work.

At about 4pm there was someone from the health team coming into work to do a bio age check on me, and she had cancelled several appointments before and I was hoping that she wouldn't cancel this one. So just before 4pm rolled on by I received an email from her saying that she was 10 minutes late, and then 10 minutes after 4 she mentioned that she'll be ready by 4:20pm. When I headed over to the meeting room at 4:20pm I noticed that she was still in a session with someone else. So I waited about 15 minutes before  headed back to my desk and told her that I finish work at 5pm, so maybe we should reschedule it for another day. She then emailed me right away and said that she was cleared and that she'd hurry up so I could leave at exactly 5pm.

When I got into the meeting room she was asking me a bunch of questions, while I was doing exercises and while she was checking my blood pressure. Unfortunately the machine wasn't working, so she attempted it on my right arm four times, before trying it on my left arm another four times. She repeated everything again, but it didn't seem as though the machine was going to work as the battery was dying. So after the whole ordeal I wont be able to get my bio age until she is next within the office at the end of April! Bah!

I then rushed off home and went to check on my seedling. Which is when I noticed that the seed which was growing wasn't the seed that I planted, but stray bird seed which landed in the pot and was growing. Grr! Just before I went to sit down to eat dinner, I "remembered" that I had left something at my Auntie's place the next street over and headed off to her place. When I got there and had a chat with her, I remembered that I had left it at my cousins place in Canberra so when I walked back home I called my cousin who confirmed it. Lucky for me she is visiting over the long weekend and will be able to return it to me.

I didn't think it was a wasted trip, as the moon was a lovely sight to see, both walking to my aunts place and especially walking back! I tried to take a photo of it while I was walking back, but it was just too bright and it would've seemed like another lamp post!
