25th of January 2013

What a week it's been. It seems to me that when Friday decides to show up, you left puzzled as to why you thought that it would take so long to arrive. I got to sleep in a tiny bit, as I was going into work an hour late today, and staying back one hour. As today is the last day that my friend and co-worker Mark will be with us, as he is leaving to go and study.

As much as I wanted to catch the train that I use to catch around this time, I didn't leave on time as I was putting the finishing touches to my packing. At about lunch time, Frank would arrive to grab everything to take it to mums place and I wanted to make sure that everything was in order. So when I finally did catch the bus it was a much later one, and for some reason the driver had it in his head to drive at about 40kms. So when I eventually did arrive at the station I ended up catching the slow train. By the time I got to Town Hall station it was very close to 9am, and ended up bumping into Gloria who arrive at the same time as well.

Throughout the time I was constantly anxious. Later on today I was hoping to receive an email from FX Australia to see if I got accepted to play an extra as a zombie for the Walking Dead promo within Australia. So I would catch myself constantly looking at my mobile, and also checking my personally email to see if I had received a reply. Unfortunately I didn't receive any email at all. Though a friend of mine did receive an email saying that they've received a lot of email and unfortunately could not accept everyone. So if you do not receive an email by 5pm you weren't accepted. I didn't receive any email at all, which I thought was a shame. Though it did make me realise that if I ever thought about going to acting, I so couldn't be part of it as the waiting for a phone call or email would just kill me!

I ended up having lunch at my desk as I had a few things to catch up on which I'd promised people I would have completed by the end of the week, and I wanted to live up to that promise. It honestly didn't bother me that much as it was pretty humid outside, and staying inside was a better option.

At about 4pm today everyone within accounts all gathered around to say goodbye to Mark. After a couple of speeches from Mark and also our Manager I handed him the farewell card as well as a few gifts which everyone chipped in to buy. I personally am very sad that he is leaving and I honestly wish he didn't leave to study for a whole year, as Mark is a very good person. The type of good that most people try to achieve within themselves everyday, and to him it comes naturally. He was also one of the geeks, where I could take to him about Avengers or new games that come out that are awesome to play. He would also know what I meant every time I would say 'Noob' or 'pwned!" At the same time though I am very happy that he is following what he always wanted to do.

After work a few of us gathered a the Shark bar to say our goodbyes with a few drinks and a game of pool. I couldn't stay that long as with the moving I wanted to see if everything went ok. Plus After an anxious day and an exciting week I was feeling really tired, and would feel a lot better after putting my feet up.

So Mark if you're reading this, we will all miss your humour and your loving nature. Don't forgot to stay in touch and tell us all about your exciting new path that you've decided to take in life. Also don't forget to visit once in a while!
