So before I go on one of my utter rants today, I had completely forgot to mention in yesterdays blog that I had the most weird dream the other night. And it was only of me getting a tattoo. It was a very big large golden phoenix tattoo, with it's body made out of fire with the body, neck and head of the bird going from my forearm all the way up to my neck where the head of the bird was. Within the body of the bird (which was on my forearm) was a tattoo of the world. Now I've also considered getting a tattoo, but it would never be that huge or even of that symbol. So in the morning I actually had to check my arm if it was actually there!
Ok, back to the events of today. During the morning there were talks that there was a very big rubber duck (could that be the phoenix? who knows!) within Darling Harbour. This rubber duck was 6 storeys high! Now from a simple search, one website mention that it was already there and other websites were telling us that it would be there tomorrow. So a group of co-workers and I decided for lunch to head over to Darling Harbour to see the thing for ourselves. We were utterly disappointed to find out that it wasn't there, and that it would be in fact be there tomorrow morning for the unveiling.
So while the rest of the group went off to fill their tummy, I decided to go look for the famous koala that is on display at in front of Madame Tussauds. And being a typical koala it was fast asleep. So I decided to have lunch within the lovely sunny summer weather and slowly make my way back to my desk.
Early this morning our team received some sad news, that a co-worker of ours who has been with us for about a year and a half will be leaving us towards the end of the month. So in typical Friday fashion, when the whole floor got together for some Friday Fun we announced his leaving to everyone with a sign that expressed how we all felt.
So below is a collection of not only photos which I gathered today, but also a couple of pictures which I saw of failblog that made me giggle!
