8th of March 2013

Our last day within the Northern Territory! Cannot believe how quickly the few days have gone by, though everyone says that when they are away on holidays. I guess it is a sign of having a good holiday. As a treat I had ordered room service for Nathalie and I to have breakfast inside. So after getting up at about 8am and then having a shower and changing room service arrived with our breakfast. With the amount of food we had I couldn't believe how little we paid, and realised I should have been getting room service all this time instead of eating out at a cafe or restaurant.

We then both started to pack up our things and and left the room at about 10am. After we checked out we headed over to the Town Centre where we went to buy last minute things and souvenirs for the family. We were considering buying a toy dingo for my Uncle Joe as he had said to us before we left on our trip to bring him back a dingo if we ever came across one. Though the chances of our uncle Joe remembering the joke once we returned back would be very unlikely, so we ended up buying him a hat instead.

It wasn't long before it was time for our shuttle bus to take us to the airport and ended up bumping to Jonathan who we met on the bus the previous day. So we took our luggage and headed to the airport which was 10 minutes away. When we got into the Virgin airline queue (which wasn't as long as the one we had in Sydney), we went to check in our bags and the lady informed us that we didn't ask for check in luggage. So we had to rearrange our items in our bags so we can take it as carry on luggage. I ended up having to checking one bag in and paying the extra $40.00. Which confused me as I am pretty sure that I had requested check in luggage.

While we waited within the lounge we also bumped into the two German guys we had met the night before. One of them told us that there was a girl who was following them and constantly taking his picture which we all found odd. When it was time to board the plane, the German guys asked us to take their photo but a staff came running up to us to stop as we may cause the plane to explode. Which I thought was an unusual thing to say.

We hopped on board and said our goodbyes to Ayers Rock. We both had a fantastic time and will miss the serenity and the tranquillity of this place. Will definitely will not miss the flies though!

When the plane landed within Sydney, we hurried off to catch the train from the Station as Nathalie had somewhere to be at 7pm. So once we got to Central station we said our goodbyes and and hopped on the train.

Once I got home started sharing stories with mum and Frank, and also showed mum a little of the video which we took. Thought it was a little odd that the total time of the video was 38 minutes, 38 seconds and 39 milliseconds!  Stayed up watching The Following, and The Walking Dead! Wow, what an episode.
