3rd of March 2013

I had so much trouble sleeping last night! I have no idea what time I did finally manage to go to sleep. Though I think it was about 4am. I usually have the TV on in my room watching a show to make me sleepy while I have the TV set to sleep. But I had reset the timer to 45 minutes a few times that I lost count. Not only that, at about 3am in the morning I swear I heard a fly buzzing near or in my ear, and then I didn't hear it anymore! I got up in a panic and started to shake my head and also trying to open the ear cannal a little more so the 'fly' could see the light and get out - if there was really one in my ear. A part of my brain was telling me that I was making the whole thing up because I was tired and that I should get back to sleep.

When I did go to sleep and wake up again, it was at about 9am and pretty much repeated the same routine as yesterday. Making myself a coffee to hopefully wake myself up. Though this time I had a pestering sensation that there WAS fly in my ear and that it needed to come out. I asked mum if she could see anything in my ear, but she couldn't see anything. Plus I couldn't really feel anything moving about either. Though she did suggest that after the family lunch today, if I felt anything in my ear that we would go to the medical center.

So the three of us got dressed and ready and headed over the The Brewhouse in Marayong. We originally had organised for a picnic, but with all this rain a bunch of us decided it was better to move it indoors - just in case. Which is when my cousin Theresa suggested The Brewhouse.

When we got there, mum was in a little bit of a panic as she thought we had got the wrong place. It turns out we were a little early and not everyone had arrived yet. A very large volume of the family arrived, especially some that I hadn't seen in quite a while. When my cousin Nathlie showed up, we both couldn't contain ourselves and just got really excited about our trip tomorrow. One cousin pointed out that we would be the first family members to visit Uluru...that is if you do not count the in-laws. So that's somewhat of a victory.

Throughout lunch, my ear started to annoy me and no matter how much I tried to discard the feeling I couldn't let go of it. Even though a part of me knew that I was being a little paranoid about the whole thing. So at about 2:30pm I couldn't stand it any longer and suggested to mum that it was about time I got to the medical centre. I bet everyone farewell and they all wished me goodluck on my holiday tomorrow.

When I got to the medical centre it was packed out! And sitting in a waiting room with it completely packed didn't really do my nerves any good. So I tried to distract myself by playing Candy Crush on my phone, but a part of me just wanted to yell out.. "I just need to get one ear checked! That's all and I'll be on my way." But the logical side of me knew that wouldn't have helped. Thankfully after about an hour it was my turn, and the doctor checked both ears. There was no fly... or 'forign objects. She mentioned that there was no wax either. So that kinda put my mind at ease. Well everything but the paranoid side of me that thought she was lying, which I kinda knew she wouldn't be. So I had to get my mind off it.

Afterwards mum and I headed off to Mt Druitt shopping centre as we needed to picked up a few things from Woolworths, well also trying to get a few photos printed out from mums Facebook page which didn't seem to work. Though I think it had something to do with their internet connection as it was very slow.

When that was all done I went to visit my auntie Josie, as the relatives from Malta were staying there the night before Nathalie heads with me to the airport. We stayed for a cup of coffee and run a few things before we meet them again at 6am in the morning.

After that I went home packing, and try to remember things which I wouldn't forget. Oh well if worse comes to worse and I did forget anything, I'm pretty sure the hotel will sell it. I even made a checklist of things to remind myself in the morning so I can take the last few things with me.
