Managed to sleep in a tiny bit today. Though when I woke up and saw that the time was only 8:30am I was a little disappointed that I hadn't slept in till much later. So from the get go I was in a pretty grumpy mood. To help fix that issue, I made myself a cup of coffee to help move the day a lot faster and hopefully to wake myself up a bit more.
While I sat at the table drinking my coffee, I was watching little Howard jump all over his cage chirping. Trying to notice if there was any signs that was different in him. On closer inspection I noticed that he is going through molting as of late, which means that there are a few scattered feathers everywhere and that he has a few hard feathers around his neck and head. Which just means that he is getting new feathers and since it has already reached his neck, it'll be almost over soon for him.
Frank also reminded me that it was my turn this week to bet on the horses for the punters club, so I chose a bunch of horses who's names I liked, and finally enough within all six races most of the horses that I had picked were somewhat favorites.
Not long after I got ready and dressed as I had another appointment with the vet. Hopefully this is the 3rd and last appointment for him. As the medicine they are giving him comes in three stages, and this is the 3rd stage. He seems to be taking the medicine very well, so there shouldn't be any further issues.
When mum and I got to the vet there was a couple who had brought their pet snake in, and where just about to leave. There was another couple who had a little of Ragdoll kittens that were so very cute! They was very white and the tip of their ears, feet and tail all had a greyish ting to it. And to top it off they had very VERY blue eyes! They were only six weeks old and looks so very adorable! I'll admit it brought a little tear to my eye as it made me miss Sheba again.
I had a little chat with the couple and they are selling their kittens for $470.00! Waaay too expensive for my taste, but I guess they are pure breads and if people are willing to pay for them then so be it. They also explained to me that they never had kittens before so they were both very surprised at how easy it was to toilet train them and I mentioned that with all the cats that I've owned they pretty much knew what to do and after a certain age they all felt too old for the kitty litter and wanted to go outside.
Not long later a couple brought out their pet turtles, whos names were 'Splish' and 'Splash', which I thought were awesome names for turtles. Not long later it was Howards turn to take his last and final does of the medicine and the vet mentioned that he seems to be taking the medcine very well, but would still like to see him in two weeks time to see if he greatly improved. She did also point out that he was also going through the molting stages as well and was almost finished.
When we got back home and mum and Frank went out in the evening I spent the rest of the time preparing what to pack and make sure that I hadn't forgotten anything. So I started to organize clothes and little odds and ends. I also finished series two of The Walking Dead comic.... so very awesome! I cannot wait till I read season three. Though I am contemplating on whether I should wait till the end of the TV series or just get it now anyways. It's not the same as the TV show, but some parts are pretty similar. Hmm... still deciding.
Later on in the evening I was messaging my friend Jia to see how she was doing, and I happen to mention to her that I had wrote a short story a while back and wanted to see if she'd like to read it as she likes to read a lot of things, and thought I'd give her a sample of small things I'd like to write, and hopefully a taste of things better to come! She loved my little Christmas Eve short story, but also pointed out a few changes that I should make, which I totally agreed with.
More than happy to post it up here if anyone wish to have a quick read of as well, just let me know =)
