Another day where I didn't want to get out of bed. It has mostly to do with the fact that I was so tired from running about yesterday, that even at 3pm I started to nod off. But I had so much things to catch up on, that I didn't end up getting to bed till about 10:30pm.
I was running a little late for the bus this morning, and as I got closer to the bus stop I noticed that the bus was already up the road and coming my way. I made a dash for it, but thankfully the bus driver saw me and stopped for me. He said "I didn't want your efforts to be in vain," Well it was either that or for the simple fact that for the whole entire journey I ended up being the only person who caught the bus.
Caught up with my friend Rocio at the train station, and we had so much to talk about that we didn't think about taking out our mobiles to play Candy Crush. We were both a little tired and rested our eyes during the journey, but we had a lot to talk about so it kinda defeated the purpose of trying to catch up on sleep.
It was another full day at work, as there were some hard emails which I'd personally been avoiding for a little while, but decided it was time to face the music today and get stuck into it. I managed to clear out so many before I got started on the super hard emails, so I at least felt that I accomplished something today.
I had lunch with Gloria today, and since it felt like a long time since the sun was actually out and not aiming to burn us alive, we decided to have lunch within Darling Park which isn't far from where we work. We sat in the shade and had a good old chat, and it felt for a moment things with back to it's usual self. I'm only realizing now that maybe this is what my photo for the day should have been. But this week has been so very hectic, that I'm not stopping occasionally to savor moments anymore, as I starting to feel a little overwhelmed with moving, and unpacking my things, as well as following up on massive amounts of emails. I already know that by this weekend things will start to cool down somewhat, but up until then I should try to focus a little more instead of looking at all the things I need to do at once. I think if I focus on each as tasks I need to do individually, I'll be ok.
On the way home I even caught the train with Gloria as she was headed my way, and I was thankful to have an air conditioned train, which is very rare especially in the warm weather. When I got home had a chat with mum and Frank while having dinner then headed off to finish off a review and complete my homework. I even managed to send a couple of text messages to my cousin Nathalie who arrived from Malta yesterday to see if she had a good day and especially enjoyed the warm weather that we had today.
Before I knew it, it was after 10pm and I hadn't taken my photo of the day :( I thought all was lost until I remember my Howard who is always up for a photo, especially when he decides to turn into a tennis ball. So thanks Howard for being my little tennis ball, and I promise not to use you as a scapegoat with another photo as a last resort!
