5th of February 2013

Woohoo! Day off from work! I used the day in lieu which I had from working the Saturday a while back to have today off to visit my cousin. Even though it was a day off, I had to wake up and leave the house earlier than I would when I would be heading off to work.
Mum and I left the house at about 6am, to head over to my auntie Randi and uncle Charlies place to pick them up and take them to the airport with us. I was still a little sleepy on the drive over to the airport so I was a little quiet during the trip.

During the drive we originally took the route of the M4, till we noticed how congested it was than decided later on to take the Parramatta Road route. The whole time while seeing how both roads were packed, the main thing that was going through my mind was, "Is this the reason why people are hard set on me wanting to drive? That they are annoyed they have to drive to work and are so frustrated at how packed the roads are during the morning that they want me to be part of all this too?'

We got to the airport at about 7:30am, which is around the time the plan had landed. On the way to the gate we bought a balloon which said 'Welcome to Australia' on it to hand to my cousin Nathalie. We knew that we would be waiting a while as they made their way through customs. During the wait I was receiving messages from my cousins in Malta as well as Nathalie's boyfriend to make sure I kept up to date.

We were waiting quite a while, very close to two hours and started to get a little panicked as to why they hadn't arrived through the gate as of yet, until a voice from behind us said loudly something like, "And who are you waiting for?" It was my uncle Leli! He apparently arrived through a different gate as to what the signs had told us. So poor Nathalie was waiting on her own wondering where we all were! So we all rushed and gave my uncle a big hug then rushed to give my cousin a big hug too! She was quiet in a bit of shocked thinking that we hadn't arrived! But we certainly made up for it (I hope), with the tackle hugs and the fast talking and laugh - while blocking the exits!

After we all had a bit of a laugh we headed to my other aunt's place (who couldn't be there at the airport) for some tea and coffee. It was quiet a bit of a journey and Nathalie was wondering where all the sunshine was! During the drive back, Nathalie and I caught up on the gossip of TV shows we love to watch, and I assured her that I had The Walking Dead covered. Ended up finding out that she hasn't seen the play Much Ado About Nothing, which stars Doctor Who's 10th doctor David Tennant. I promised I would loan it to her later.

At my auntie Josie's place we all caught up and the men reminisced about old times. Even my uncle Joe went on to his usual stories. After a while I had to head off home for a little bit, and decided to take Nathalie for a bit of a walk to our place as it was only down the road. Thought she could use a bit of fresh and and enjoy the sun while it was out. I even gave her the opportunity to meet Howard. It was only a quick visit to my place before we headed back.

Before we knew it, 2pm rolled on by and since I had a hair dresses appointment at 2:30pm we had to leave. We took my uncle and cousin with us and dropped them off to another auntie of mine which they will be staying for the rest of the week.  Really looking forward to catching up with them very soon! We're evening thinking of visiting Katoomba this weekend.

At the hairdressers I got my hair coloured even lighter than I had before, as I'm thinking of heading down the strawberry blonde colour path. Even now feels a little weird at the moment, but I can honestly say for sure that my eyes are really standing out more with this lighter colour.

When I got home I had a couple of emails to let me know that I had another movie to review next week, as well as a couple of assignments to load up new posts within the review website. It took me a little longer than I expected, well maybe about the same amount of time that it had took me while I was training. This is just simply because it isn't my website, and I check, double check and triple check that I have done everything ok! I haven't got an angry text message as of yet, so I think I did things ok!

Now I'm off to watch episode 3 of The Following! What a awesome day!
